Trump calls on the United Nations General Assembly to hold China accountable for the spread of the Corona virus

Trump said, in the text of a speech expected to the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, a group of White House journalists published excerpts from them: “In the first days of the spread of the disease, China stopped transportation within the country, but nevertheless it allowed aircraft to leave its lands and spread the injuries to the rest of the world.

The American president described the disease several times in his speech as the “Chinese virus,” saying that “the United Nations should hold China accountable for its measures.”

Trump repeatedly stressed earlier that his administration holds China fully responsible for the spread of the new Corona virus in the world, accusing the country of withholding information about its outbreak, and saying that the Chinese authorities could have “stopped the epidemic.”

The US President is facing widespread criticism because of his administration’s handling of the Coronavirus pandemic, which began spreading in late 2019 from the Chinese city of Wuhan, as the United States is the first country in the world in terms of the number of infections (about 7 million) and deaths (about 200 thousand) due to the pandemic, This increases doubts about his chances of winning the upcoming presidential elections on November 3, 2020.
