Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said today, Sunday, that his ministry will provide assistance to complete the huge $ 500 billion NEOM project as scheduled.
The minister added, “We have no choice but to be serious about harnessing all our capabilities to realize this project.”
The high-tech project includes the construction of tourism and sports facilities on the Red Sea.
The project, which will be built on an area of 26,500 square kilometers, was unveiled in 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in 2025, and will include high-tech projects powered by wind and solar energy.
The NEOM project is part of the “Vision 2030” plan adopted by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which aims to attract foreign investment, create jobs, and reduce the Kingdom’s economic dependence on oil.
