The Lebanese Army: The death of a fourth soldier, following the raid in Beddawi, and the killing of the terrorist Khaled al-Talawi

The Lebanese army announced that it had managed to eliminate the leader of the terrorist cell that killed 3 soldiers when an army intelligence patrol conducted a raid in the north of the country, while a fourth soldier died later of his wounds.

The army said in a statement today, Monday, that its units “pursued the terrorist cell that fled towards the locality of Rishin – Benhi Road at 3.30 am, and proceeded to surround the aforementioned locality where the terrorists hid.”

The statement added that during the operation, the head of the terrorist cell, Khaled Al-Talawi, “opened fire at one of the soldiers, who responded in kind, killing him immediately,” while other members of the terrorist group are being pursued to arrest them.

The statement stated that a soldier died as a result of severe wounds sustained by the army’s raid on the home of a wanted terrorist in the north of the country on Sunday evening, in an operation that resulted in the killing of 3 other soldiers.
