Regarding the death of Hindi film actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his family lawyer says that Sushant’s health had deteriorated since the arrival of Riya Chakraborty in Sushant’s life.
Advocate Vikas Singh of the family, in a press conference on Wednesday, said that wrong things about Sushant’s family are being publicized in the media.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his residence in Mumbai on 14 June. The Mumbai Police called it suicide. Later, Sushant Singh’s father KK Singh lodged an FIR with the Patna Police and accused Riya Chakraborty of committing suicide along with other serious charges.
The Bihar government had recommended CBI to investigate his death, which was challenged by the Maharashtra government. Later, the Supreme Court accepted the demand for CBI inquiry.
The CBI has registered a case in this case and has interrogated Riya Chakraborty for hours for several days.
Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh said that he had met Sushant’s sisters on Wednesday.
Advocate Vikas Singh claimed, “Sushant was perfectly fine till 2019. Sushant had mental problems ever since Riya came into Sushant’s life. Riya created such situations that Sushant’s mental condition deteriorated further”.
Accusations on media
He said that in some news channels, there is news that Sushant’s family was aware of his depression but the family deliberately hid it.
Advocate Vikas Singh dismissed these allegations and said that if Sushant’s health had deteriorated in 2013, it would be a minor matter and it could not be called depression.
A WhatsApp chat has surfaced in the media a few days ago, claiming that Sushant’s family knew about his mental condition beforehand but the family did not reveal these things.
Vikas Singh accused the media that some channels are running a campaign to defame Sushant Singh’s family in order to benefit Riya Chakraborty.
A few days ago, Riya Chakraborty interviewed some private channels.
Vikas Singh said that when Sushant Singh’s sister Mitu Singh went from Sushant’s house on June 12, Sushant’s health was fine at that time and he was feeling better.
The lawyer also informed that without the permission of Sushant Singh’s family, neither a film nor a book can be written on Sushant Singh’s life.
