In a statement on the subject, the official said: “Work is currently underway to develop new models of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 new aircraft, which will be equipped with non-imported technologies and equipment. The development of these aircraft will be completed in 2023, after which the stages of flight tests on them will begin.”
He added, “The development of these aircraft will require new licenses for all their systems, and licenses that will be granted to the company developing them .. The manufacture of new models of SSJ100 comes in implementation of the instructions of the Russian President issued on January 25, 2018, which directs to develop systems and equipment for aircraft to dispense with the import of foreign-made components.”
