News : Destruction of Turkish air defense systems

News : Libyan media reported that the Libyan National Army had destroyed air defense systems, “installed by Turkey at Al-Wattia base” (Uqba Bin Nafeh) in western Libya.

News : The Libyan newspaper “Al-Marsad” quoted an official source in the Air Force’s operations room of the General Command of the “National Army” that air strikes targeted “Hawk” radars and air defense systems and the “Coral” system to jam the base.

News : It added that “Turkish forces installed it” on Thursday in the western part of the base.

News : In addition, a senior military source told “Libya Hadath” channel: “We have been monitoring the entry and installation of the Turkish Hawk air defense system with its accessories from radars over the past days.”

News : He continued: “Today, the Turkish Defense Minister was informed, while he was in Misurata, that the Uqba Bin Nafeh base was ready for use, so the Libyan National Army decided to destroy it after entering the service, and the percentage of destruction in the system is 100%.”
