Emirates Airlines announced the suspension of its flights to and from Saudi Arabia, from today, Monday, until further notice.
The carrier said on its website that this was due to the closure of the borders as directed by the Saudi authorities.
Affected customers should contact their travel agent or the airline’s call center to obtain rebooking options, she added.
And Saudi Arabia decided to suspend all international flights for travelers and enter through the land and sea ports for a period of one week, which can be extended for another week.
Yesterday, an official source in the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the suspension of all international flights for a week, based on what the Ministry of Health raised about the spread of a new mutated type of Corona virus.
The source pointed out that “the suspension will be temporary and will include all trips, except in exceptional cases. It will also not include foreign trips that are currently in the Kingdom’s territory, so they are allowed to leave.”
