Egypt announces a record high crude oil production for the first time

ReutersEgyptian Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla confirmed that a record number has been achieved in Egypt’s production of crude oil, as it exceeded 64.5 thousand barrels per day for the first time in its history since 1957

During his presidency of the General Assembly of the General Petroleum Company, Al-Mulla stressed the importance of continuing during the coming period to intensify research and exploration work and activities, develop existing fields and put new production wells to increase and maximize production, as well as to continue developing the necessary infrastructure to sustain production processes and maximize their exploitation.

The meeting reviewed the most important results achieved, as 7 new oil discoveries were made in its concession areas, and the total test rates were about 6,700 barrels per day of crude oil and 21.4 million cubic feet of gas per day.
